Unjust Bomb :: essays research papers fc
Death is a reality. Men should be conscious of that reality. I say men, because the willingness to die for a cause is most likely inherent to our sex. We (the man) were hunters running after wily beasts, and nature most likely gave us the cruel gift to be contentedly conscious of our fate ( the jaws of the prehistoric predator before us!) If the soldier can imagine his enemy to be the beast, then perhaps he can die with this intrinsic honor. Throw total war away, leave the unprepared civilian be. The death of a civilian, bombarded by the atomic bomb is beyond all wrongs. The atom bomb is a manipulated force, the product of the human mind, misdirected to defile humanity and nature simultaneously. It gives the victims no time to prepare their life for their sudden exit, or worse, for a life tortured by atomic mutilation and shame. May a human be granted a death of peace, or at least, one of honor? The soldier has been forced to accept his role. He is fighting for his nation, against another nation, which is his enemy and he, perhaps, can perceive as evil. Perhaps he has considered his death. This will give him honor in that death, an otherwise empty destination. Let they who do not wish to be heroes or enemies, be. It is indeed morally wrong to end a war by killing civilians, regardless of whether their lives will save the lives of soldiers. To save our American soldiers these bombs were hurriedly created by physicists under the guidance of Oppenheimer. Later he would refer to it as the "scientistââ¬â¢s sin". Perhaps all of human civilization is an atom bomb. We harness nature, in order to destroy both it and ourselves. Yet nothing in our civilization is as overt as the atomic bomb. Who are these moralists? These moralists who bear objective truth? There is no truth? The atom bomb is natural? It is in our nature to destroy ourselves? So it is inevitable that we would forge the bomb, that our destructive nature would reach for the golden apple. But what is it? Itââ¬â¢s a vile apple with worms and rot and dripping poison. We annihilated two cities filled with human civilians,( not living in a democracy, but

As the book entails more of African-American history rather than just a pure literature of science fiction since it deals slavery in the nineteenth century Antebellum South which unleashes the issue of slavery, its causes, effects and its evidences on a more modernized method and language to capture the interest of the reader particularly to the young adults whom the book has marketed, readers would see it as a reliable historical reference.Every detail written on it illustrates manifestation of the tragic truth on how white people consider their supremacy over the blacks.Ã This include horrible dilemma such as beatings, rape, forced labor, murderous acts, and any form of abuses whether physical, psychological or emotional which the protagonist Dana has experienced as a result of her permission to be transported in the past several times in search of a missing piece, though the epiphany was only after the first and second glimpses from the past via time travel on which the revelat ion involving her antecedent has occurred. To dare oneself to involve in the not-so-good incidents and allow himself being hurt by anyone or anything could be a brave action if not heroic.Ã However, Dana here is just a victim of unexplainable intervention which urges her to accept her ethnicity.Ã Knowing that both the blood of the slave-owner rapist Rufus and the slave Alice runs through her blood, and with marriage with Kevin, another white man like his grandfather Rufus, Dana courageously surpass it in the end.Readers of Kindred might see little of himself in Dana's terrible experiences and would help him realize the message that everyone is related with one another irregardless of color differences and norms.Ã Time heals all wounds but never the lesson it imparted and the history out of it, with or without science intervention.R E F E R E N C EButler, Octavia. The characters in Aeschylus’ Agamemnon create only fear and no pity in each other and in the audience
I agree with this statement to a certain extent, however, I think it does not represent the whole of the Agamemnon. I think that what invokes pity, are events, rather than characters, that have preceded the play. There are mixes of passive and fearsome characters in the Agamemnon. Clytemnestra and Aegisthus are an example of fearsome characters, when she kills Agamemnon and Cassandra, and he threatens the chorus near the end of the play. The chorus are relatively passive throughout the play until aggressive actions towards Aegisthus at the end.The first idea of fear that does appear in the play is with the prologue of the play with the watchman; ââ¬Å"Whenever I find myself shifting my bed about at night, wet with dew, unvisited by dreams because fear instead of sleep stands at my side to stop my eyes closing fast in slumberâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ (l. 13) This is immediately demonstrative of the fear that his mistress, Clytemnestra, instils in him. It affects the watchman so much so, that hi s fear stops his ââ¬Å"eyes closing fast.â⬠This is the first indicator in the play that Clytemnestra is stepping into her role as the ââ¬ËIron Ladyââ¬â¢ of Greece. We know that she has set up a type of communication which allows her to know whether or not the Greeks have beat the Trojans, and whether or not their coming back. This gives her time to prepare her trap. I think for this reason, she probably emphasised the importance of the watchmanââ¬â¢s role, and the punishment that would be inflicted should he fail his task. The chorus also demonstrate fear ââ¬Å"There were times I thought Iââ¬â¢d faint with longing [for the Greek armies to return]â⬠ââ¬Å"I have long had silence as my medicine against harm l. 539. â⬠This is not implicit as to who will ââ¬Å"harmâ⬠them if they ever break their silence, but they are obviously trying to hide something from the herald and the ââ¬Å"kingsâ⬠that have returned. The dramatic irony in this play also shows how the audience and the chorus know something that the herald and the kings do not know.It seems like Clytemnestra has secured their silence, to make sure that the men returning home do not know about the doom that awaits their King Agamemnon. An abstract idea of fear that is presented by Aeschylus is through Clytemnestra, by demonstrating the potency of fear, and how it can make people do things that they would not otherwise do. She makes Agamemnon step on the purple fabric through her.

Apple Inc In Malaysia Economics Essay
Apple Inc In Malaysia Economics Essay This stability is an important consideration in these times when it comes to do business. It is part of any business decisions in which a firm operate political landscape makes it an ideal stable country for new business ventures. ( see page ) Malaysia boasts one of south-east Asiaââ¬â¢s most vibrant economies, the fruit of decades of industrial growth and political stability. Its multi-ethnic, multi-religious society encompasses a majority Muslim population in most of its states and an economically-powerful. ( see page ) The phenomenon of information sharing is usually associated with social cultural factors beyond information technology. An understanding of information sharing across cultures is still a major challenge and is likely to be more important as global systems are developed. Byars, L.( 1991) In some local cultures the survival of highly competitive organizations is dependent upon having trade secrets. A very good example of this is Malaysia. ( see page ) The technolo gy used within the Malaysia has improved dramatically this has happened especially within the information technology sector with more and more people being trained on how to use these sorts of technology (see page) Apple Inc as a successful company in the world wide market today and the strategies they applied in order to conduct their business smoothly. On which the study details will be based on. SWOT analysis Corporation which is the strength, weakness, opportunity, and threats. and applied to the problems facing Apple Inc, include the Porters five forces (see page ) Introductions Perhaps one of the most observations that grabbed my attention in the world was the phenomenon of the open trade or free trade. The simplest definition of free trade is; Trade between nations without protective customs tariffs. It is largely known that America is the biggest market in the world. Technology is the mother of trade. Where there are a high number of digits in a market, there we see technolo gy and prosperity. Life becomes more easy and safer. This creates Tech-Consumptive generation; a quick look at our recycling pin would proof that. Year after year the technology of the mobile industry has changed our life. We, for example without being completely aware of the social change that happened, became a subject of what the market want. Before, we were the force that lead the market. Now TV commercials, billboards and media bombardment are the ones own our paychecks .( Griffin, 2009) Year after year the technology of the mobile industry has changed our life. We, for example without being completely aware of the social change that happened, became a subject of what the market want. Before, we were the force that lead the market. As I have mentioned before, technology is the master of our life. The world had become small village. Time is the impending master not the distance any more. This constitute a huge change every where we look. My social relations and how itââ¬â¢s s haped is totally different ten years ago. America and Japan were the biggest labs which used to fill the global market with that abundance of inventions. It was G6 then G7 then G8 those are Group of the biggest economies in the world. This tells us that the global economy is boosting so does the individualââ¬â¢s life changes within.( Scholnick,2009)

Strategy Formulation Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Strategy Formulation - Essay Example In this respect effective use of communication techniques within and without the organization is emphasized by strategic management experts in order to achieve these long term objectives. Communication within the organization is necessarily influenced by its leadership style and organizational culture and structure. A vertical top-down structure with an autocratic leadership style is less likely to facilitate efficient communication between different layers of the hierarchy while conversely a horizontal structure with a democratic leadership style would more likely facilitate good communication flow between departments. Strategic long term goals such as market share, profitability, an increase in the share price, quality improvements, customer satisfaction and brand loyalty have to be achieved by adopting such strategies as good internal and external communication practices, employee relations, good motivation strategies and HRM practices, sound financial management including positive cash flows and better overall performance metrics. For example there are good and bad business practices being adopted by companies in the process of planning and design of management and business strategy. Many organizations depend on the available information to make such decisions. This is strategically a bad business practice because information asymmetry often misleads managers and their subsequent decisions based on such imbalanced information could be wrong. Nowadays organizations have better approaches to such intricate problems. In the planning and design process of VRIO (value, rarity, inimitability and organization) framework businesses have adopted such revolutionary approaches. For instance Accenture, the largest strategic management consultancy in the world, places emphasis on VRIO framework in such a manner that itââ¬â¢s very difficult for its competitors to duplicate its VRIO environment in any meaningful manner. This example illustrates

Forensics Based On Evidence Gathered With Peep Attacks Essay
Forensics Based On Evidence Gathered With Peep Attacks - Essay Example Cybercrime has been cited as one of the most prevalent problems in society. The vast majority of investigators perceive this crime to be on the rise and of becoming an ever increasingly complex and multi-faceted problem. This paper attempts to clarify the complex investigation effort following a Peep attack. We describe evidence collection and problem-solving techniques in the application of computer forensic analyses. A Peep attack is one of the most notorious hacking tools, based on the Robot Network (Botnet) Structure. A Botnet is a term for a collection of zombie systems and autonomous software robots. The threat from Botnets is growing at an alarming rate and the attack techniques are becoming increasingly sophisticated. The majority of the literature describing Botnet attacks is focused on a varied level of IRC-based malware, the activity of Spam mail and the structure of Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS). However, some Botnets are used primarily for data collection, remote control or various other purposes (Microsoft Corporation, 2005). Botnets have gained a significant presence on the Internet as a remote control means for malicious purposes. A Botnet can run programs under the control of a managed network infrastructure. In practice, Botnet communities usually have one or several owners and rely on individual friend-to-friend relationships for their operation (Desmond, 2005). Because new attacks originating from a Botnet are difficult to identify by default fingerprinting., there is rarely a geographically identifiable pattern to the distribution of the infected computers. Firewalls cannot readily be configured to react to a Botnet attack by using information obtained from previous attacks. The Peep attack is still a developing technique. In this paper we introduce a digital forensic analysis applied to the investigation of a Peep attack, and discuss some of the resulting problems and concerns. Although differing somewhat from the original definition of IRC Botnets, a huge network of zombie computers is
